"For the last few years, I've been working mostly on a room-by-room basis. I want to capture the mood of the place, emphasize it, charge it or turn it upside down. This mostly with the help of ornamental or even decorative elements. I try to sound out boundaries. Where does good taste stop, where does something become banal, how much do I have to add to a room, how much life of its own do I give it? In addition, performative elements (actions with guests) in these rooms are becoming more and more frequent. The works for the Verein für Originalgrafik were created in Berlin. For quite some time I wanted to make smaller works that could be created anywhere, in addition to my large, elaborate installations that are tied to a specific location. In Berlin this attempt was successful. The drawings are a kind of atmospheric condensation. They arise from pictures and photos that I either collect or make myself. They contain similar elements to my space works: Ornaments, various objects, people, interiors, exteriors, and new: animals."

Radelfinger conducts extensive research with the means of drawing and develops a pictorial thinking space in the interplay of drawings, external images and texts. This results in multi-layered installative exhibition situations, performative events and publications. In 2001 Radelfinger began to draw his pillow regularly in the morning. The matter-of-course, intimate proximity of this object simultaneously offers itself as a model for far-reaching excursions: traces of dreams and night fantasies, absence of the face, mirages of mountain landscapes. Consider each cushion as a momentary state of the universe.

Guido Nussbaum works with the most diverse means. For some years now, his painting has been limited thematically to the globe and formally to round picture carriers, so-called tondi. In general, his artistic approach aims to evoke images seen in life on a new level and thus to present something that can be talked about rationally. The stone print "Uhrausschnitt" is iconographically closely related to an art-in-architecture work realized in Baden in 2005. With the few lithographs Guido Nussbaum has made so far, he has fortunately always been able to use the medium experimentally in creative cooperation with the printer in search of results in which the depicted and the technique meet on paper in a meaningful way. This partner has been Urban Stoob in St. Gallen for several years.

In her paintings, drawings and sculptures Leiko Ikemura always deals with central questions of human existence. In the three present works, the motifs waves, wind and clouds are taken up. Everything seems to be developed from the movements of nature. The artist's more recent drawings, which also include this series, are characterized by their strong movement, which is reflected both in the drawing style and in the pictorial narrative.

"For several years I have been working on a group of paintings, which I have given the title 'Happy Pictures'. Unjointed forms and 'over-coloured' colours characterise the exuberant paintings. I dream of the 'liberatingly stupid' picture, which remains so irritating and enigmatic that one can never get enough of it. In gravure printing I found the possibility to realize a graphic counterpart to the 'Happy Paintings'. With the means of intaglio I try to imitate the lines of a pencil, a felt-tip pen or a highlighter, so that a situation arises that is irritating for the viewer. In this field of tension between drawing and printing I get more formal freedom to push my forms."

"By means of drawing and image processing programs for computers I develop my digital image worlds. I also digitally create all the templates for the industrial production of my objects. The mechanized procedure remains consciously visible in the artistic artifacts, if it is not even raised to the subject of my work. It is my great concern to rediscover the human being behind the technological 'sound barrier'. My private Space Program' represents for me my personal departure into the virtual age. I understand this work cycle as a plastic performance on the computer. With the help of a 3D program I have modeled myself in the classical way, without photographic aids, and dressed in a space suit. With the equipment of a contemporary cosmonaut, I thus break away from my computer into virtuality. From the resulting computer installations and situations, I generated the visual material that I used for these line transpositions."
