In his drawings, collages, sculptures and photographs, Boris Rebetez deals with the perception of places indoors and outdoors. The places or spaces he draws and constructs are not homogeneous. They are pieces, samples, details and cut-outs, which he first isolates and analyzes in order to then allow them to become space again in new constellations. With seismographic precision, the artist registers historical changes along spatial representation patterns. And so a deeply personal view of the experienced and remembered space overlaps with a deconstructivist utopian component.

Lutz uses a 16 mm camera to film street scenes, models of cities and rows of houses, but also of cosmic spaces, and uses multiple exposures to add images of his own disguised person and of drawings in an alienating way. Klaus Lutz was inspired to create this work by an exhibition at Ringenberg Castle (Lower Rhine, Germany). The result is a story about painting snails, robot sculptures, dancing people and a castle ghost called "red lady".

Many of Esser's works are concerned with sounding out the possibility of producing high pictorial complexity using the means of painting. With deliberately controlled transparency, superimposed layers of images enter into a relationship with one another. The vocabulary of the pictures contains a spectrum between scriptural form and anamorphosis. At times the viewer has a foreboding of a figuration that leads to playful perception on various levels.

Daniele Buetti works with images from glossy magazines and, in his artistic realisation, directly intervenes in the discourse on beauty, market and lifestyle. "The central question in Buetti's work is always about faith in images. It's delicate, but it might not be wrong to speak of a religious subdiscourse in his art. Not only in that he works around the theme of icons - here in the first meaning of the word as a bearer of the image cult in the Orthodox Church - but also because the question often takes on existentialist traits. This existentialism, which is primarily cultivated in the titles of the works or even directly engraved in the works as slogan-like sayings, however, makes itself ridiculous through its adolescent-like naivety, so that it tips over into cold-blooded irony." (Giovanni Carmine)

Designed as autonomous images, these, with their manifold quotations and references, refer to the traditional design of record sleeves. The image is intended to capture the potential listener, arouse curiosity and, even before the first sound is audible, evoke a tonal association. In this case, however, the viewer is left in the void, the music remains imaginary. With the series "Covers" Archetti refers to an absent acoustic world, the supposedly familiar eludes. At the same time, this withdrawal opens up the possibility for an immersion in one's own acoustic worlds.
