Klaus Born

The present sheets are essentially inspired by watercolour painting and form a continuation of the series of works begun in 2014 using lithographic means. By including the white surface in the composition, the colour accents gain structure and spatiality and unfold the emotional power of the colour sounds. The seemingly loose, simple design elements such as spot and brush line, dot and surface support the bright and light colours and help the leaves to achieve their light and airy appearance.
