Yves Netzhammer works on a widely ramified, poetic cosmos of images. In his works - drawings, room installations, videos - the artist is concerned with a contemporary representation of the body, or rather with the consistency of contemporary feelings about the body. The artist finds echoes for his work, for example, in the French philosopher Michel Serres: "The senses produce the body piece by piece, based on their respective activity
In the videos, everything physical is in a state of flux, one bizarre transformation leads to the next, uncanny things are presented, which have a long subcutaneous effect. But now we have here three graphic sheets in front of us! Something special, of course: The images are generated in the computer and then produced in a very classical way (one could almost say: according to old fashion) as intaglio: A happy "cohabitation". The intaglio prints are "standing" pictures. This does not mean that you quickly grasp everything and start to get bored. But no, organs wrap around each other, fingers or claws grow out of a leg, faces and animals appear, a duck's beak peeps out. Yves Netzhammer lifts the lid of his box a little and a poetic cosmos emerges - a fascinatingly idiosyncratic one on each sheet.

There is no standstill in the "idiosyncratic" pictorial worlds of the artist. His motifs and creations are constantly transformed into new stories full of poetry. His pictorial world is digital, it speaks a language rooted in drawing, which reflects our present in a model-like manner. The artificial transformation of these streams of images is all the more touching in view of their stillness, their multi-layered time structure, their tenderness. It encounters fundamental and most sensitive questions of the living. It presents the paradox that virtual, artificial images make the conditions and entanglements of human existence physically tangible. For the Verein für Originalgraphik, Yves Netzhammer has designed two serigraphs printed on both sides of glass, elaborately realized by Lorenz Boegli.
