Lutz & Guggisberg give us a journey into the interior of the country, where not everything seems clear and regulated, but rather strongly overlaid and random. There is no longer any rational order to be found, (alpine) dreamlike sequences appear. We are not granted a Heidiland-Ballenberg idyll, it is rather the place at the back of a Potemkin village: gas bottles, lawnmowers, plastic chairs, a ping-pong table folded up, wire mesh, even drums and didgeridoos. As a basis, own photos were used, which were collaged, copied and finally transferred to printing plates as photo etchings. Each motif was then additionally overprinted with a plate (aquatint / drypoint) that had been processed several times. The artists give three free insights into the rural area and with hay tedder, silo and gravel heap also into the cultivation of the land by the inhabitants. A gravitational field prevails in the interior of the country, which mixes up the set pieces of working and living. Scurrility and wit are not to be missed. Homeland exoticism is combined with trash, clichés merge merrily. The interior of the country, seen through the eyes of the artists, experiences a surreal exaggeration. The impression arises: La Suisse existe - mais un peu surréaliste!
